The Process

My oblique strategy cards:

• Only a part, not the whole. I decided to only focus on the beginning/origin of Ruby's story, not the entirety of it.
• A very small object. Its center. I decided to use a small object (the ring) to become the catalyst for Ruby's possession.
• What mistakes did you make last time? In my last short story, there was not a lot of dialogue. I decided to switch it up this time around.
• You don't have to be ashamed of using your own ideas. During our playthrough, each of us had different ideas of how a certain character panned out. I decided to stick with my idea for this short story.

I took the name "Mythical Wings Flux" from the anagram generator. I also utilized n+7 and CharNG, and while I didn't include any of the output into the short story itself, I was interested in the portmanteaux generated. I got words such as "immer work", "glancement", and "patterly." One of the lines generated from n+7 intrigued me: "She also knew the quickest wayfarer to my heartache" instead of "She also knew the quickest way to my heart." Totally new meaning!
